A lever needs to do more than look right on the handlebar. The pivot, actuation point and operating clearance must suit the bike. Check the application and plan the final function checks before choosing a replacement.

Identify both controls
Record the full model and year and whether the bike still has its original master cylinder and clutch perch. An aftermarket perch or master cylinder can change the lever required. Compare each side separately rather than assuming a pair fits because one lever looks similar.

Look at the working interfaces
Compare pivot dimensions, bushes, the brake actuation contact and the clutch cable or hydraulic interface as applicable. Check any switch contacts and adjustment features. Photos support a match but do not replace the product's listed application and the manufacturer's fitting information.

Check contents before the job
Establish whether the listing supplies a pair, what hardware is included and what transfers from the old controls. Inspect the related components after crash damage; a new lever alone may not address a damaged perch or master cylinder.

Verify operation before riding
Follow the fitting instructions for torque, lubrication and free play. Confirm full return, correct brake release, clutch operation and relevant switches. Check clearance throughout the steering range. If a control binds or its operation is uncertain, have it corrected before riding.
