The MPA motorcycle tyre changer combines a swing-arm layout, a powered turntable and motorcycle-specific clamping jaws for wheel servicing in a dedicated workshop. Its 6–24-inch external rim clamping range covers a broad range of motorcycle, scooter and ATV wheel sizes, subject to wheel dimensions and clearance.

A motorcycle tyre changer made for regular wheel work
Motorcycle-specific clamping
The locking jaws are designed for motorcycle wheels. Check that the rim profile and surrounding components allow secure clamping before starting a job.
Swing-arm access
The demounting arm moves away from the wheel area between operations. A manual locking arrangement lets the operator position and secure the arm for the task.
Powered turntable
The self-centring turntable operates at one speed in both directions. It supports controlled wheel rotation during the tyre mounting and demounting process.
Adjustable jaw guides
Three sliding-guide positions support adjustment across the specified clamping range. One-piece cast jaws form the wheel clamping system.

03 / WHEEL COMPATIBILITY
Check the wheel, not just the bike model
This machine is intended for motorcycle, scooter and ATV tyres within its stated capacity. A rim size within the 6–24-inch range does not by itself guarantee compatibility: overall wheel width, tyre diameter, rim shape and brake disc clearance also matter.
- Confirm the external clamping diameter falls within the stated range.
- Check the complete wheel is no more than 1040 mm in diameter and 270 mm wide.
- Check the jaws and working head clear the rim, spokes, hubs and brake discs.
- Use wheel protection and procedures appropriate to the rim finish and tyre construction.
Special rims, unusually wide wheels and difficult tyre constructions may need additional equipment. Contact MPA with wheel measurements and photos if you need help checking suitability.
04 / WORKSHOP SETUP
Plan your tyre-changing workspace
Allow space around the machine for the swing arm, wheel handling and operator access. At 166 kg net, this is stationary workshop equipment. Plan suitable unloading and positioning equipment for its 188 kg packed weight.
The machine needs compressed air at 8–10 bar and an electrical supply compatible with its rating plate. Confirm compressor airflow requirements, connections and the supplied electrical configuration before installation. Follow the equipment manual for setup, operation and maintenance.

What rim sizes does it handle?
The external clamping range is 6–24 inches. The complete wheel must also stay within the 1040 mm diameter and 270 mm width limits, with suitable clearance for clamping and the working head.
Does it require an air compressor?
Yes. The specified air supply pressure is 8–10 bar. Check the machine’s airflow and connection requirements against your compressor before installation.
Can I use it for scooters and ATVs?
The U-206 platform is designed for motorcycle, scooter and ATV wheel work. Compatibility depends on the individual wheel dimensions and clamping clearance, so it is not a universal fit for every wheel.
Does it balance wheels too?
No. This machine mounts and demounts tyres. Wheel balancing requires separate equipment.
Is this a portable paddock tyre changer?
No. This is a powered stationary workshop machine with a net weight of 166 kg. It needs an appropriate work area, electrical supply and compressed air.
